HYDERABAD: Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Telangana state government, My Home Constructions, My Home Industries and PR Energy Ltd., directing them to file their counter affidavits on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the Congress MLA A. Revanth Reddy, challenging the action of the TS government in allotting 10 acres of land to the respondent firms.
A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radhakrishnan and Justice V. Ramasubramanian, was dealing with a petition by the MLA seeking to declare the action of the state government and the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) in allotting the land to the respondent companies as illegal.
C.V. Mohan Reddy, senior counsel appearing for the petitioner, told the court that they originally proposed to sell the land situated in Panmaktha area of Raidurg in the city by developing plots of five acres each to create hospitality and recreation facilities and also for allotting to IT industries in the area and invited the bids. He said that later bids were invited, considering the 10 acres as a single package with an intention to allot the lands to the respondent firms.
