Visakhapatnam: Koteshwara Rao is VMRDA chief

Earlier, Mr Krishna Mohan worked as Registrar Dr B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam for about seven years.

Visakhapatnam: P. Koteshwara Rao, 2009 batch IAS officer, assumed charge as commissioner of Visakhapatnam Region Metro Development Authority (VMRDA) here on Wednesday.

Earlier, Mr Rao had served as Secretary APPSC, joint collector Kadapa and West Godavari districts. After taking charge, he met VMRDA chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao.

On the occasion, the commissioner said that completing the works and services in time were his priorities. Later, Mr Rao visited various departments in the office. He directed all the heads to computerise the entire data of VMRDA and provide training on technical and digital technology issues to the VMRDA staff.

Elsewhere, Dr V. Krishna Mohan assumed charge as Registrar of Andhra University on Wednesday. He was appointed by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy.
