Chandrababu Naidu praised the services of employees in making Krishna Pushkaralu a success.
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised the services of employees in making Krishna Pushkaralu a success and appealed to them to continue the team spirit for the development of state. In a meeting organised at Indira Gandhi municipal stadium in Vijayawada on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the Krishna Pushkaralu experience will help the state in future. Declaring holiday on Friday for employees for making Pushka-ralu a success, the Chief Minister said the Pushk-aralu will be documented. He announced '10 lakh ex-gratia for those who died while discharging duty in Krishna Pushkaralu and '5 lakh for outsourcing staff.
Stating that he is a team leader, the Chief Minister said the credit goes to employees for the success of the river festival. He praised the services of Pushkaralu special officer B. Rajasekhar and director general of police N. Sambasiva Rao. He said the police served the pilgrims as friendly police. The Chief Minister said that the reputation of the state increased with successful conduct of the festival. He said 99 per cent of pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. He also praised the services of 18,000 students who volunteered.
