Hyderabad: The Congress said the government was not allowing people to air their views during public hearings being conducted on the environmental impact of the Kaleshwaram project.

Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Shabbir Ali alleged that police failed to mend their ways even after recent Nerella incident where Dalits were brutally attacked for opposing the sand mafia.
He demanded that the government conduct public hearings in a democratic manner and withdraw the police immediately.
