Met: Rains over Bengaluru on Monday, Tuesday

A private weather forecaster, Skymetweather, said that strong westerly winds from the Arabian Sea are blowing over the west coast.

Bengaluru: Bengaluru might witness moderate rains and coastal areas light rains on Monday and Tuesday due to a depression over Bay of Bengal.

“In the Arabian Sea, the clouds will segregate and move from the ocean to land which will result in moderate rains over Bengaluru and coastal Karnataka,” said Mr Srinivas Reddy, Director, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).

A private weather forecaster, Skymetweather, said that strong westerly winds from the Arabian Sea are blowing over the west coast. The IMD Bengaluru predicted that the city will witness cloudy skies for the next 48 hours and there could be showers. 

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 27 and 20 degrees Celsius.  Surface winds are likely to be strong and gusty at times.
