Book Dindigul Srinivasan and other ministers, says Ramadoss
Ministers swear that they would take action according to the information that they want when they assume office.
Chennai: PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Sunday demanded that ministers like Dindigul C Sreenivasan, who had admitted that they lied about J. Jayalalithaa’s health, should be immediately removed from office for “misleading the people” and should be brought under investigations to bring out the truth in the death.
In a statement on Sunday, Ramadoss said Srinivasan’s speech has confirmed that Jayalalithaa’s death is shrouded in secrecy and that his comments assume credence since he is the third senior-most minister in the AIADMK cabinet after Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and his deputy O. Panneerselvam.
“Ministers swear that they would take action according to the information that they want when they assume office. If Srinivasan had known that there was a conspiracy to kill J. Jayalalithaa, he should have taken action against those concerned. By failing to do so, he has failed in his duty and he should serve punishment”, Ramadoss said.
Since Srinivasan and Panneerselvam have claimed that they were not allowed to meet Jayalalithaa at the hospital and they lied to people about her health, they along with other ministers who gave such statements should be probed. “Ministers, including Srinivasan should be removed from their posts for failing to do their duty,” he said.
