Congress, BJP to field Reddys in Huzurnagar
Meanwhile, BJP has announced Srikala Reddy as its candidate in the Huzurnagar assembly bye election.
Hyderabad: The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have announced their candidates in the Huzurnagar Assembly byelection on Tuesday.
The All India Congress Committe has announced N. Padmavathi Reddy, former MLA and wife of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committe President, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, as Congress candidate.
AICC General Secretary and Central Election Committee In-Charge, Mukul Wasnik, in a press note said that the Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the candidature of Padmavathi Reddy as party candidate.
After TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy hinted about Reddy as Congress candidate, TPCC Working President and MP A. Revanth Reddy objected to this and demanded that the high command issue show cause notice to Uttam Kumar Reddy for announcing the candidate. Revanth Reddy also said that he is proposing TPCC Spokesperson Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy as Huzurnagar's Congress candidate. However, Congress high command has decided to field Padmavathi
Meanwhile, BJP has announced Srikala Reddy as its candidate in the Huzurnagar assembly bye election. The Telangana BJP core committee met on Tuesday and decided Srikala Reddy's candidature for Huzurnagar bye-election. However, the BJP has to officially announce Srikala Reddy's candidature. Srikala Reddy's father Jithendar Reddy was former MLA from Kodada. She has joined in BJP very recently.
