Kozhikode: Stray dogs maul boy going to school

The strays attacked him while he was going to school located near his house in the morning.

Kozhikode: A 10-year old boy was attacked by stray dogs on Wednesday at Mukkam in Kozhikode district. Gazal, an eighth standard student at Annayamkunnu Higher Secondary School, has been admitted in Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.

The strays attacked him while he was going to school located near his house in the morning. He sustained multiple injuries in different parts of the body including his legs and hands in the attack. Gazal is under observation at the Medical College Hospital

The people in the locality later took out a protest march to the panchayath office alleging that it took no measures to contain the stray menace despite repeated incidents, especially in the high ranges. They said the panchayat officials who were duty bound to take action has been ignoring it instead.
