Hyderabad: A spell of light but continuous rain triggered massive traffic blockades in the city on Thursday, leaving the residents worried about the weather condition dampening Diwali celebrations. Meteorologists, however, said the current weather would dissipate by Friday.
“Hyderabad will witness sudden spells of rain as there are two rain-bearing systems on either side of the country — the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
But it will end by October 26,” said Mahesh Palawat, the chief meteorologist of Skymet.
Mr G. Prasad, a resident of Khairatabad, said, “With so much water outside our homes, fear of potholes causing accidents is discouraging us from stepping out.”
