Andhra Pradesh: NRI Doctor helps school with big fund

Dr Chitrachedu Naganna who was native of Kotanka has been serving as doctor in the USA.

Anantapur: An NRI doctor sponsored a new school building at his native village Kotanka in Garladinne mandal in the district. Dr Chitrachedu Naganna who was native of Kotanka has been serving as doctor in the USA. Aiming to be part of the development of his village, the doctor spent  Rs 60 lakh towards new high school building at Kotanka in Garladinne mandal as Nagannna was a student from interior village.

I&PR minister Kalava Srinivasulu who inaugurated the new school building applauded the NRI doctor who had not forgotten his motherland. He recalled the doctor's plan to provide quality education to students of his native village. Naganna stood model for many, Anantapur ZP chairperson P. Nagaraju said and further added the zilla parishad would provide additional facilities at the newly constructed school building.

Dr Naganna recalled he was also a student from rural area and suffered many hurdles to reach the present status. "My ambition to see the children from my village with quality of education at their doorstep and they could be better in the society", he observed. Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy praised the services of the NRI doctor for his own village. MLC Yamini Bala and others participated.
