Kanyakumari: In a shocking incident, a police personnel in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district on Thursday hit a moving biker with a stick for not wearing a helmet while he was riding past him and his colleague.
The biker identified as Rakesh, sustained severe injuries on his head and was bleeding profusely after being hit by the traffic police.
The biker carrying a pillion rider managed to maintain his balance and raced away from the area.
The victim, who suffered a deep cut on his forehead has been treated at a government hospital.
The incident took place at Kanyakumari's Kallupalam, which is at the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The traffic constable was suspended pending inquiry, the police said.
