Telangana police abuses girl, avoids case

The case came into light recently and police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao ordered for an inquiry.

Vijayawada: Two constables belonging to Telangana state allegedly abused a girl commuter at Pandit Nehru Bus Station, Vijayawada on November 5 and some cops helped them avoid punishment.

The case came into light recently and police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao ordered for an inquiry. According to sources, two drunken constables abused the girl who was waiting to take a bus to Hyderabad. 

According to Krishnalanka inspector, P. Chandra Sekhara Rao, “Following the constables objectionable behaviour, the girl complained to the cops at the Bus station outpost. When the police caught the duo and were about to hand them over to the Krishnalanka police, the accused sought her apology and she had accepted.”
