Will speak to Sathish Jarkiholi: Dr G Parameshwar
Dr Parameshwar said, The BJP takes up Ram Mandir issue only for political gains.
Mangaluru: Deputy chief minister G. Parameshwar said he would speak to Congress leader Sathish Jarkiholi on latter’s comment that the state government is yet to take off.
He told the media here: “"I have come to know about it through the media. It is not clear why he has said that and what he meant. I will speak to him on this."
He arrived here to participate in a programme organised by IUML at Manjeshwara (Kerala) and also attend an athletes’ meet at Moodabidri.
Dr Parameshwar said, “The BJP takes up Ram Mandir issue only for political gains. The party has fought many elections in the name of Rama Mandir. They (leaders) collected money, bricks and also held padayatra in God's name but the temple was never built,” he said adding, “Every election they take up this issue only for political gains. People have come to know about this and will teach them a lesson in 2019 parliamentary elections.”
He denied allegations of BJP leaders that the ruling Congress was involved in telephone tapping. "The BJP always makes such allegations. You (media) need not take it seriously and people too wont believe it,” the deputy chief minister said.
