THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the CPM PB member S. Ramachandran Pillai and the state leadership continued to maintain that the party had nothing to do with Binoy issue, the state secretariat met twice during the day on Thursday to thrash out a reply to the allegations levelled by the Dubai-based company.
In the first session, the CPM secretariat met at the AKG Centre in which Kodiyeri reportedly explained his position on the case. In the afternoon, the secretariat met again. After putting their heads together and ensuring that the certificates from Dubai police and Dubai courts had reached, the CPM secretariat came out with a statement and launched a counter attack accusing a section of media of trying to tarnish the image of the party.
