Author likens Aadhaar to a lego block

Hyderabad: Aadhaar is like a lego block and can be used to build multiple lego blocks, said N.S. Ramnath, co-author of  The Aadhaar Effect. 

He was speaking at a session titled ‘The Aadhaar story’ on Friday, together with the co-author of the book Charles Assisi. 

Mr Ramnath said, “Aadhaar is a foundation ID and no eligibility is needed to have it. It just tells your name matched with biometrics. But driving licence, ration card are functional IDs, which are designated for specific functions.”
