Governor P Sathasivam asks Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan how to spell Kinanthropometry during the governor's address on Friday.

Thiruvananthapuram: It reminded of some of the tough words used by Shasi Tharoor MP in twitter. The word ‘Kinanthro-pometry’ in the governor's address created momentary confusion for Mr Sathasivam.

The address said that the Sports Department proposes to introduce a programme called ‘Talent Identification Protocol’ to track talent from the school level by including the principles of Kinanthropometry.

Failing to pronounce the word, the Governor then asked Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan to help him. He too could not help.

Finally, Mr Sathasivam asked members to consult the sports minister to understand the meaning of the word. Whether Sports Minister E.P. Jayarajan knew of the word remains a mystery. Kinanthropometry is defined in the dictionary as the study of human body and gross function in order to understand growth, exercise, performance, and nutrition.
