Ten new faces make it to CPM state panel
The conference elected five-member Control Commission with T. Krishnan as chairman.
Thrissur: The 22nd CPM conference elected 87 member state committee with Kodiyeri Balakrishnan as secretary for the second consecutive tenure, in Thirssur on Sunday. There are ten new faces in the new committee: CPM Wayanad district secretary P. Gagarin, Malappuram district secretary E.N. Mohandas, DYFI all India president Mohammad Riyaz, DYFI state president A.N. Shamseer, C.H. Kunhambu (Kasargod), Rajya Sabha MP K. Somaprasad (Kollam), R. Nasser (Alappuzha), Girija Surendran (Palakkad), former Ernakulam district secretary Gopi Kotamurickal and K.V. Ramakrishnan (Palakkad). Veteran leaders V.S. Achuthanandan, Paloli Mohammadkutty, P.K. Gurudasan, K.N. Raveendranath and M.M. Lawrence are special invitees. K. Kunhiraman, P.A. Mohammad, P. Unni, C. K. Sadasivan, K. M. Sudhkaran, Pirappancode Murali, T.K. Hamza and N.K. Radha have been relieved form the state committee.
The conference elected five-member Control Commission with T. Krishnan as chairman. The other members are M.M. Varghese (Thrissur) E. Kasim (Kollam) , M. T. Joseph (Kottayam) K.K. Lathika (Kozhikode) are members. All elections were held unanimously.
