Hyderabad: Online pujas can be booked from May 1
He said the government would amend the forest laws to protect green wealth.
Hyderabad: Endowment minister A. Indrakaran Reddy on Monday said puja services at all prominent temples can be booked online from May 1. People can book darshan tickets at the temple and accommodation over the internet, he said while assuming charge at the Secretariat on Monday.
Mr Reddy had broken the jinx that endowment ministers do not win the subsequent elections and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had also given him the same portfolio. He said he would try to improve facilities at the temples.
Mr Reddy, who also holds the law, forests and environment portfolios, said he would take steps to set up courts in the new districts.
He said the government would amend the forest laws to protect green wealth. He said Mr Rao had already reviewed the forest department. Under the slogan ‘Jangal bachavo, jangal badhavo’, the government would educate the people on protecting the forests. He later held a review meeting with forest officials at Aranya Bhavan.
