Khammam: Four die in Boiler explosion, eight injured

Khammam: Four persons were killed and six sustained burns when a boiler exploded in at a maize centre at Nayakangudem under Penuballi mandal.

The incident took place at about 8 pm, sources said.The condition of three persons who were injured is stated to be serious.

The boiler is used to heat the maize seeds for better germination when it exploded. Leakage of gas is said to be the reason for the blast.

Two of the victims were identified as Mukhesh Raj and Santhosh Jadav, residents of Bihar.

Meanwhile, police is trying to identify the two others.
