TTD to build Lord's temple near varsity

Nellore: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board on Wednesday decided to switch its gold deposits with State Bank of India to a new scheme with a higher rate of interest.
Earlier, TTD’s 7,000 kg was getting an interest of one per cent per annum and under the new scheme, it will get a yearly interest of 2.5 per cent.
Apart from this, the trust board, which met at Tirumala under the chairmanship of Ch. Krishna Murthy, has also passed several resolutions relating to enhancing amenties of pilgrims and developmental works.
It has sanctioned Rs 2.52 crore for he construction of Sarva Darshanam Complex in Narayana-giri Gardens in Tirumala and Rs 29 lakh for the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple near Golden Jubilee Arch in SV University.
The board approved for the allocation of 19.25 acres of TTD land on lease to set up Science Museum in Tirupati with the help of Government of India. It has also approved a new scheme Srivari Anugraham from June first week.
It will make make the booking of Arjitha Seva tickets more transparent as the tickets will be allotted through electronic dip system.
