No state rank in Vellore district this year

Velore: Vellore district has two first rank, four second rank and 10 third-rank holders in SSLC examinations at the district level. However, the district has been placed last at the state-level with 86.64 pass percentage.

K.M.Aishwarya of Good Shepherds Matriculation School at Madapalli and K.N.Kaviyapriya of SMS Vimal Matric Higher Secondary School, Arakkonam have been placed in the first-rank at the district level with both securing 498 marks.

D. Devishmitha of Lakshmi Garden Matriculation Higher Secondary School has bagged the second rank by scoring 497 marks. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, school principal Parveen Aslam said the institution had been aiming to secure first and second ranks at the state level and was sure to achieve this in future. M.S. Aswini of the same school had secured 496 marks and has got the third rank.

G. Shruthi Saraswathi of Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sathuvachari, secured 497 marks and has also been placed in the second rank at the district-level. Her class teacher D. Joice said Shruthi took Bio-Science, because she wanted to become a doctor. School principal Sister Punitha and correspondent Sister Martina congratulated Shruthi and promised that the school was prepared to extend all help to her.  

V. Janaki Raman of Bharathidhasanar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Arakkonam, has been placed third by securing 496 marks. Principal Deivasigamani said the students had worked sincerely and brought laurels to the school.

Seventeen students who had qualified in SSLC examination and secured ranks at the district-level met collector R. Nanthagopal who complimented them on their achievement.
