Telangana government advisors' term extended by one year
These tenures will end soon and the government on Wednesday extended them by one more year.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday cleared extension of services of the advisors to the government for a period of one year.
Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma issued orders to this effect.
After coming to power, the TRS government had in 2014 and in 2015 appointed advisors to various departments. R. Vidyasagar Rao (irrigation), A.K. Goel, IAS (Retd.) (Planning and Energy), A. Ramalakshman, IAS (Retd.) (Welfare), B.V. Papa Rao, IAS (Retd.) (Policy & Institutional Development), K.V. Ramanachary, IAS (Retd.) (Culture, Tourism Endowments, Youth and Media Affairs) and G.R. Reddy, IES (Retd.) (Finance) were appointed for varying tenures. These tenures will end soon and the government on Wednesday extended them by one more year. However the tenure of D. Srinivas (inter-state affairs) is yet to be completed.
