The silence shifted to Gorepally village around 100 km away, where Chinnari's body was taken for funeral.
Hyderabad: The grief that gripped Ekkareddyguda in the last three days after Chinnari fell into the borewell shifted to their village Gorepally where her funeral was held. Chinnari was buried in the family’s ancestral land. Hundreds from surrounding villages came to have a look at Chinnari’s body.
Sixty hours of noise from heavy earth moving machines, hundreds of personnel from various departments and people who came to see the rescue operation had filled Ekkareddyguda tanda for three days. But as soon as the body was retrieved in pieces the atmosphere changed with her parents breaking down. The silence shifted to Gorepally village around 100 km away, where Chinnari’s body was taken for funeral.
Chinnari’s parents had migrated from Gorepally village around three years ago. Their relatives said the family was planning to come home for Dussehra.
Chinnari’s elder sister Akshitha who saw Chinnari falling into the pit was not aware of what had happened and looked frightened. Finally, Chinnari was buried in a piece of land owned by her grandparents in the same village.
