“When we asked her to behave, she lost her cool and started hurling abuses at us referring to our caste. She called us low-life and asked us to remember our status before speaking to her,” Ms Rajitha said in her complaint.

“We left the ward but the doctor refused to treat my son unless I apologised to her. Concerned about my son, I went to apologise but she behaved rudely and threatened to get me dismissed from my job and see to it that my life is ruined,” Ms Rajitha alleged.

Mediapersons went to the hospital after coming to know of the incident but the junior doctors did not allow them inside and snatched away their mobile phones.
