BJP to target TRS-MIM ties
The party also wants the government to drop the Muslim reservation Bill.
Hyderabad: The BJP has demanded Chief Minster K. Chandrasekhar Rao arrest MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi for his alleged remarks about giving him “15 minutes” during a speech at Karimnagar.
It was a reference to Mr Owaisi’s earlier speech where he wanted the police withdrawn for 15 minutes and Muslims would “teach 100 crore Hindus a lesson.”
The party also wants the government to drop the Muslim reservation Bill.
The BJP will increase pressure on the twin issues. The BJP says the TRS-MIM ‘politics of polarisation’ is benefiting the party as the people have “understood their dirty politics of divide and rule,” a leader said.
BJP national executive member Ramachandra Rao said, “I would want to make Hindus aware of how anti-Hindu the KCR government. It will benefit the BJP. The people are fed up with the communal tie-up between the MIM and the TRS.”
Congress spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju said, “MIM is a religious party which has made every attempt to polarise society. For the sake of political advantage, KCR has allowed them to grow which is harming the TRS. KCR’s comment on Hindu gods was just to appease MIM.”
