The voting was held on Saturday at around 11 AM in the Defence General Estates Office.
Hyderabad: Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) Vice-President J Rama Krishna will continue in his position as the 'no-confidence' motion moved by J Maheshwar Reddy and three others has failed to win majority support. Six votes were needed to remove the vice-president from his position but only four members voted in favour of the motion.
The voting was held on Saturday at around 11 AM in the Defence General Estates Office. It took place in the presence of SCB president Brigadier M.D. Upadhyay, CEO S.V.R. Chandrashekar and all elected members, besides some of the nominated board members.
In the board room, Mr Keshava Reddy, Mr J. Maheswar Reddy, Ms Anita Prabhakar and Ms P. Bhagyashree were the ones who voted ‘for’ the motion, and whereas, Mr Rama Krishna, Mr K. Pandu Rangam Yadav, Mr J Lokanadham and Ms P. Nalini Kiran voted ‘against’ the motion, eventually leading to the victory of the incumbent vice president. Mr Rama Krishna assured everyone that with the help of the members of the board, he would work on the issues which resulted in the no confidence motion.
