Wishes pour in for PV Sindhu for her historic gold win
She has done the nation proud by winning the world Badminton Championship.
Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday congratulated P.V Sindhu for her outstanding performance in the World Badminton Championship held at Basel, Switzerland.
"She has done the nation proud by winning the world Badminton Championship. Her hard work, determination and dedication has enabled her to scale such heights of brilliance in her chosen sport. She is an example of what women can achieve, when they set their minds to it. She is a great role model for all women," he said . Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and DMK president M K Stalin on Sunday through their twitter account lauded P. V. Sindhu for her historic triumph at the Badminton World Championships.
Mr. Panneerselvam tweeted "It is heartening to note that Sindhu has scripted history by becoming the first Indian to clinch gold now in the Badminton World Championship, in which she has bagged medals five times."
In his tweet, Stalin said, "Heartiest congratulations to @Pvsindhu1on her maiden Gold at the BWF World Championships. I wish her many more victories in years to come. May her success be an inspiration for young Indians to excel in sports. #PVSindhu."
