Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a close shave on Wednesday morning, when his speeding car swerved across and veered into bushes after a puncture.
According to a report, while traveling to Hyderabad from Kurnool, Jagan and convoy had reached Palamakula of Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district of Telangana when one of the tyres of his car was punctured.
The driver quickly applied the brakes, and the car swerved hard, into the bushes off the road. However, no one was injured.
"Because of the alertness of the driver, nothing happened either to the car or to the YSRC chief," locals said according to reports.
Jagan had to alight from the car while the tyre was replaced.
This is the second time that the YSRCP chief has escaped a car accident narrowly. Earlier, as he was touring Praskasam district of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan’s car hit another car in the convoy. He escaped unhurt then too, said the report.
