Andhra Pradesh kid archers bang on target

Vijayawada: D. Jaya Vardhan of Andhra Pradesh bagged the gold in the under-9 boys recurve round category in Cherukuri Lenin- Volga memorial 
11th National Archery Championships that began in Vijayawada on Thursday. Jaya Vardhan scored 711 points out of a possible 720.

Tanisqa of Andhra Pradesh topped the under-9 compound girl’s category. She scored 713 points out of the possible 720.   P. Sushanth of AP with 711 points, followed by M. Maruthi Arush Reddy with 708  bagged the next two places after Jaya Vardhan in Recurve under-9 round category.   

Minal from Haryana with 707 and V. Spoorthi of AP with 697 bagged the next two places. 

Indian Round girls Under-9 overall winner Laxmi Kumari of Jharkhand with 705 points out of a possible 720 and Roshni Singh stood in second place with 703 points.
