Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed the Telangana state police to clarify whether candidates for the Assembly elections had to disclose all the pending cases in the affidavit while filing their nomination papers or only the cases which are in their notice.

Mr T. Rajanikanth Reddy, counsel for the petitioner, submitted that they had applied to the DGP on March 14 under the Right to Information Act to furnish the list of cases booked against the petitioner. They had also submitted a representation to the DGP on September 12, but till date he had not furnished the information.

He told the court that the petitioner had to disclose the list of the cases pending against him while filing the nomination papers to contest in the coming elections.
