Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl who went missing from Malkajgiri was found in Neredmet on Saturday. The girl claimed that two unidentified bikers dropped her in Neredmet and sped away.
According to police, the parents of the girl, who are residents of Malkajgiri, had a fight over petty issues a couple of days ago. After this, the girl went missing from their home. After searching in all possible places, they lodged a complaint with the police.
Meanwhile on Saturday morning, devotees who came to a temple in Sainad-hapuram under Ner-edmet police station limits, noticed the child wandering outside the temple.
Upon enquiry, she told her name as Pinky but could not reveal details about her parents and residence. The devotees picked up the child and alerted the police.
Police alerted all the neighbouring police stations about the girl and also circulated her pictures to them and in social media. Upon further enquiry, she told her name as Pallavi. Seeing the girl’s picture, Malkajgiri police identified her and informed her parents.
“The child was handed over to the parents after counselling,” said investigating officials.
