Venkaiah Naidu to inaugurate VIT-Andhra Pradesh
VIT-AP was constructed in 200 acres allotted by the state government in Amaravati region.
Vijayawada: Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would formally inaugurate VIT-AP on Nov. 28. VIT-AP was constructed in 200 acres allotted by the state government in Amaravati region. The construction has finished in 11 months in 3.21 lakh sq. ft. Two newly-constructed blocks on the campus are named after former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, freedom fighter and Nightingale of India Sarojini Naidu.
“The event is a landmark in not just VIT’s history, but also in AP’s history as VIT becomes the first private university to start classes in not Amaravati alone but in entire AP. As many as 630 students from 24 states of India are studying in VIT- AP” said G. Viswanathan, founder and Chancellor of the University told in a press conference here on Saturday.
This University is offering the courses in B. Tech (Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Networking & Security, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Data Analytics and Mechanical Engineering). This is in addition to a five-year integrated M.Tech. Software Engineering (entry after 12th standard) and PhD.
