Hyderabad: Experts say that the exam schedule is balanced. Though there is disappointment among students regarding the small gap between the major subjects, teachers say that the schedule has been planned well and is balanced. Additional holidays like public holidays were eliminated.

A teacher from a CBSE school said, “The schedule released almost seven weeks ahead of the exam gives students adequate time to prepare. Ideally, schools would start preparing students by this time and plan for the pre public exams after finishing their syllabus. Students have got nearly 50 days to plan their revision.”

Earlier, the schedule had sometimes extra long gaps and sometimes short gaps, which arose due to difference in dates of some festivals in the north and south. This year, all this has been sorted out and there is a proportionate and adequate gap between papers, according to Ms Anjali Razdan, Principal, P. Obul Reddy Public School.
