Greenko to be title partner for Formula E to be held in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Formula E and Ace Nxt Gen, promoter of the first ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race in India, which will be held in Hyderabad on February 11, on Friday announced that Greenko, a dispatchable renewables company, would be the title partner.

Its core values aligned with the mission of the ABB FIA Formula E of accelerating towards a clean energy future, the statement said. Anil Chalamalasetty, founder of Greenko Group and Ace Group, said, "We are committed to combat climate change and lead the way for global decarbonisation."
Alberto Longo, co-founder and chief championship officer, Formula E, said, "Greenko will have a global platform to showcase their sustainability credentials as Hyderabad joins iconic world cities such as London, Berlin, Diriyah, Mexico City, Rome and Monaco in hosting the pinnacle of electric motor racing." The race will see home favourites Mahindra Racing and Jaguar TCS Racing compete against Neom McLaren Formula E and Maserati MSG Racing. Greenko will power the event with renewable energy, in line with Formula E's net zero carbon strategy and RE100 commitment to achieve 100 per cent renewable energy for the championship, the statement said.
The 11 teams and 22 drivers will be competing in the all-new technologically advanced Gen3 race car. Capable of a top speed of 322 kmph, the statement said ut was 53kg lighter than last year’s vehicles. An additional front powertrain added 250kW to the 350kW at the rear, more than doubling the regenerative capacity of the previous car to 600kW, with more than 40 per cent of the energy used in-race regenerated under braking, the statement said.
