Kakinada: Dissent brewing in TD circles
They also suspect role for his brother in all these issues.
Kakinada: Dissent is brewing in Kakinada urban TD circles, as elections to the Assembly and Lok Sabha are approaching fast.
Several ruling party corporators in the Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) are deeply dissatisfied with the style of functioning of a public representative and allege that he is going behind their backs and getting works sanctioned in their wards by appointing shadow committees. They are neither being consulted nor informed on the development works taken up in their wards.
The representative is taking decisions in a unilateral manner even in the matter of allotment of houses to beneficiaries, they said. They also suspect the role of his brother in all these affairs.
The corporators want to take this to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu through the district ministers and seek replacement of the representative with another candidate in the coming elections.
“We are useful for protecting the party in council meetings when YSRC corporators attack the party with facts. But the TD leadership is not giving any importance to us and our proposals are not approved and works taken up in the wards are not being informed to us,’’ said a senior corporator.
