Youth hail IAF strikes, take out rallies

Hyderabad: Young Hyderabadis took to the streets on Tuesday to celebrate the destruction of militant training camps located in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. The Indian Air Force carried out the aerial bombing on Tuesday in retaliation to the attack on a CRPF convoy on February 14 in Pulwama in Kashmir.

As the news spread across the country, celebrations broke out in the city. Citizens, mainly students, marched on the streets holding the Indian national flag and distributing sweets.

Students of Osmania University and Nizam College held celebrations within the campus. “It is a day to be remembered and celebrated; the strikes against the terrorists have brought great joy to Indians who have been in mourning after the Pulwama attack. A commendable job by our Air Force pilots who came back unscathed,” said Rajiv Chaturvedi, a student.

Young men in the city carried out bike rallies and distributed sweets praising the Indian Armed Forces and raised slogans against Pakistan. In Lal Darwaza, Ghansi Bazar, Shah Ali Banda, Hussaini Alam and City College area, young men in groups carried out rallies. They called PM Modi a Tiger.

Mr Aleem Baig, who participated in various protest meetings and rallies against the terror attack in Pulwama, said the brave Air Force officers had made the country proud by conducting airstrikes on terror targets. We salute the bravery of the Indian Air Force pilots.

Politicians cutting across parties supported the strikes. BJP MLA T. Raja Singh, congratulated the IAF for its meticulously conducted operation. YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated the Indian Air Force: "Congratulations to @IAF_MCC and its fearless pilots for their commendable action against the terrorists.  We are proud of you. #Surgicalstrike2" he tweeted.

Telangana Telugu Desam president L Ramana said the Indian defence forces had once again demonstrated their abilities: “The entire nation is proud of our forces. We hope Pakistan learns its lesson from the strikes and stops its provocative activities through terror," he said in a statement.
