BJP to reach out to Muslims with Urdu copies of Modi's Mann Ki Baat
Hyderabad: The BJP, which has been saying that it wants to win in Muslim-dominated Assembly constituencies in the city, is set to give a major push to its outreach programme in the Hyderabad and Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituencies.
As part of the strategy, the party has decided to distribute a translated compilation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat radio talks in all the Assembly segments of the two Lok Sabha constituencies, along with the rest of the country.
“Our party has identified Parliament constituencies where minorities are in large numbers and has decided that we will make more efforts to reach out to them. We will start their distribution soon and they will be handed over at all madrasas and mosques as it is the Ramzan month,” Telangana BJP minority morcha president Afsar Pasha told Deccan Chronicle.
Dr Sufi M.K. Chisty, the party’s national general secretary for the BJP All-India minority morcha, will launch the programme in Hyderabad constituency, while Pasha will do so in Secunderabad.
Former BJP spokesperson Firasat Ali Baqri said. "The goal is to spread the Prime Minister's messages among the Muslim community," he added.
The BJP is hoping that it can get this exercise going in a week or so.
