UT Khader looks out for labourers, changes timings

Bengaluru: With the sun beating down on Bengaluru, Health Minister U.T. Khader on Tuesday ordered real estate companies to restrict the working hours of their labourers from 7 am-11 am and 3pm-6 pm, to avoid heat-related health complications.

Visiting the BBMP office, he instructed Palike officials to issue a circular on the new work hours. He warned that action would be taken against illegal water plants that have come up across the city with a surge in demand for drinking water.
