Complaint filed against GHMC member
The GHMC officials confirmed that no permission was given to the family to install the statue.
Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed against GHMC Co-option member Jyothi Srinivas Goud for installing two statues of her deceased son at different junctions of Alwal Circle.
Complainant PM Sai Prasad, said, “Two statues of deceased son of Ms Jyothi have been erected by Jyothi and family members at Golnaka Alwal X roads and old Alwal X roads by not paying heed to the SC directions. The due Jyothi and her husband Mr G. Srinivas Goud are TRS party leaders from Alwal. The statues were installed without taking any permission from the GHMC”.
The complainant emphasised the GHMC to take action. The statues were installed on April 16 during a drinking water camp for summer. The GHMC officials confirmed that no permission was given to the family to install the statue.
The deceased, a student died in a road accident in 2017, residents raised alarm against the installation of the statue and various members also approached the GHMC for its removal, earlier.
The GHMC has forwarded the complaint to the head office.
