MBA student dies in bike accident at Budigere Cross

Bengaluru: An auto driver and a 24-year-old MBA student died in two separate accidents since Wednesday night. The MBA student died on spot after an unidentified vehicle rammed into his bike on Bagalur Road near Budigere cross on Wednesday night in Chikkajala traffic police station limits. The deceased has been identified as, Akash Savolkar, a native of Hubbali. He was studying for second semester MBA in James Business School in Bayalahalli near Kempegowda International Airport and staying in college hostel.
According to the police, around 9 pm, Akash was on his way to meet his friend near the airport when an unidentified heavy vehicle rammed into his bike from behind and he fell off the road and died on spot due to severe head and back injuries. The police have registered a case and are examining the CCTV footage to identify the vehicle.
In another incident, an auto driver died on spot after he lost his control over the vehicle and rammed into a road median near Oklipuram early Thursday in Malleswaram traffic police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath, 36, a resident of Nelamangala. He used to sell the journals and magazines in his auto in Nelamangala government bus stand.
According to the police, around 5 am, as usual he went to Majestic to buy magazines and was on his way back to Nelamangala.
After the accident passerby rushed him to the nearby hospital, but he was declared brought dead.The Malleswaram traffic police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
