This training is useful for dealing with wild animals like panther, sloth bear, tiger and so on in the instance that they venture into farmland and habitations from the forest.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Forest department has organised a training session for frontline staff for the cadre from all districts on the subject of wild animal capturing techniques and immobilisation through chemicals. 

This training is useful for dealing with wild animals like panther, sloth bear, tiger and so on in the instance that they venture into farmland and habitations from the forest.

This training was conducted in coordination with an NGO named Wildlife Tranqui Force and Nawab Shafath Ali Khan, the secretary of this organis ation and Dr Navin Kumar from the NGO attended the training workshop which saw a total of 65 participants. Apart from a classroom session, hands on experience on how to use tranquilisers was given to each participant with a live demonstration in tranquilising a deer at the zoo. 

The participants expressed great satisfaction with this training and stated that they would be in a position to deal with wild animals coming out of forest in their areas in future. They also requested that, such trainings should be conducted every six months.
