Hyderabad: Two people died in a tragic accident on Friday after being run over by a speeding lorry. The gross negligence of a Tata Ace driver while opening the door of his vehicle claimed the two lives.
Marreddy Saidireddy, 30, a resident of IDA Bollarum, was on his way to drop his sister-in-law, C. Kanaka Mahalakshmi, 34, to her workplace on his two-wheeler. CCTV cameras near the site captured the incident on video as it took place.
The IDA Bollarum inspector Sathish Reddy said, “The Tata Ace driver negligently opened his door while the victims were riding by. As a result, the rider lost balance and the victims fell off the bike and were run over by a speeding lorry which was approaching from behind them. Saidireddy died on the spot, while his sister-in-law Mahalakshmi died on her way to the hospital.”
