Telangana: Train blocked to protest stale food

The train was stopped at Platform No. 10 for about two-and-a-half hours.

HYDERABAD: Passengers on the Chennai-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express protested at the Secunderabad station late on Sunday after the on-board caterer allegedly served stale food. The train was stopped at Platform No. 10 for about two-and-a-half hours.

The passengers said the caterer had not responded to their complaints and refused to let the train move. Railway Protection Force, Government Railway Police and the station officials finally provided the passengers  fresh food from the canteen in the railway station, after which the passengers allowed the train to move.
