The “ghost hunters” were caught by a police patrolling party while acting as “spirits” and filming the drama inside the burial ground. The night patrolling party rounded up all the ten youths involved in the “misadventure”, police said.

Later, they were sent to jail after being booked under charges of creating law and order problem, the investigating officer said. “Personnel of a night patrolling party got suspicious when they spotted five bikes parked at the entrance of the graveyard near Pujari park under Pachpadi Naka area in the city.

They entered into the cemetery when they noticed movement of silhouettes inside. The policemen were puzzled to find ten youths acting as ghosts and filming their acts. The youths were then apprehended and taken to Telibandha police station,” police said.

Interrogation revealed that the youths, aged 19-21, had gathered at the graveyard late on Monday night to capture pictures of ghosts and upload them in the Youtube.

“The youths said that they planned their adventure after being inspired by the supernatural horror movie Paranormal Activity. But, they got frustrated when they failed to notice spirits in the burial ground despite waiting for nearly four hours. Hence, they decided to act as ghosts and film their acts to upload the visuals in the social network sites,” the investigating officer said.
