Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday asked the  registrar-general of the High Court to respond to a petition challenging  the notification issued calling for applications for the post of ‘law clerk’ to assist the judges.

A division bench compromising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice N. Balayogi was dealing with a petition by S.M. Saifullah, a law graduate, informing the court that the notification stated that only law graduates who completed the five-year LLB course were eligible.

Mr Saifullah contended that denying the chance to law graduates who completed the three-year LLB format was unconstitutional. While asking the registrar-general to place the details before it, the bench adjourned the case.
