Andhra University looks at tie-up with Navy
AU to take care of higher education needs of ENC officers.
Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Nageswara Rao met Eastern Naval Command (ENC) commander-in-chief Vice-Admiral H.C.S. Bisht, and had detailed discussions regarding the possible collaboration between Eastern Naval Command and Andhra University on different verticals. The Vice-Chancellor while highlighting the core competencies of Andhra University, informed the different areas and sectors in which both the organisations can focus upon and work together in mutual interest particularly in value addition of human resource of ENC across various segments including higher education and training needs of the officers and other staff of ENC.
The Vice-Admiral, while admiring the legacy and international reputation Andhra University has accumulated during the past nine decades, welcomed such initiatives for strengthening the human capital base of ENC. All possible collaborative avenues with AU will be explored and once the deliverables are finalised, a MoU can be entered into, the Vice-Admiral said. He thanked the University for the kind of unstinted cooperation and support extended during the recently held International Fleet Review (IFR).
