According to HMDA, due to the delay in the acquisition process, foundation works for pillars are delayed.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation's land acquisition wing has managed to acquire 180 properties for the 1.32-km flyover connecting Balanagar and Narsapur crossroads at an estimated cost of Rs 387 crore. Among these, 82 are government properties and for 49 properties, owners have given consent for acquisition. In addition to these, the GHMC managed to acquire about 49 properties.
According to HMDA, due to the delay in the acquisition process, foundation works for pillars are delayed. "Since the stretch towards Kukatpally is wide, we could manage to lay the foundation for five pillars. Foundation for pillars towards Bowenpally end will have to be laid after the road carriage is widened after the acquisition," said a senior official from HMDA.
This apart, BSCPL the executing agency has imported a pile foundation hydraulic drilling machine which has been confined to the workshop. The agency is yet to deploy the machine at the work site due to the delay in land acquisition, he added.
