9 Telangana farmers ended life in August despite 'Rythu Bandhu'
The private insurance company staff had failed to conduct a survey to assess damaged crop to pay compensation, sources said.

Adilabad: Farmers’ suicides are continuing in Telangana State despite the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu insurance schemes. As many as nine famers have committed suicide in August alone in the old Adilabad district alone. It is said that farmers were not getting crop loans and some of them took the extreme step as their cotton crop was attacked by pink bollworm.
There was no proper response to the crop damage and crop loss from the crop insurance company for which the farmers paid insurance premiums.
