Explosion at Samajwadi Party leader's house leaves five dead

Lucknow: Five persons, including two women, were killed and half a dozen injured in an explosion that took place in a three-storey house in Sigra locality in Varanasi on Tuesday around midnight. Two children were also among the seriously injured in the incident.

According to sources, illegal crackers were being manufactured in the house that allegedly belonged to SP leaders Shakeel Ahmad and Mohd Hanif. Around 20 people were also living there are as tenants. The explosion took place where the fireworks were stock piled.
