No proof of Nisham calling from jail: CM Pinarayi Vijayan
The Chief Minister said that DGP-Prisons had said in an enquiry report that Nisham did not make any calls from the prison.
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the Assembly on Wednesday that, so far, there was no evidence of Muhammed Nisham making phone calls from Kannur central prison.
Replying to a submission of Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, the Chief Minister said that the government would also examine the reports that a journalist had spoke to Nisham over phone while the latter was in the Kannur prison. The government is considering the report seriously, he said.
The Chief Minister said that DGP-Prisons had said in an enquiry report that Nisham did not make any calls from the prison. A senior civil police officer and two civil police officers who escorted Nisham were suspended as Nisham was suspected to have called his brothers and threatened them during the transit.
